What is there to do here? What is it located near? I'm from CA and I've never been to the east coast.

Are you moving to a base there or just visiting? Although, I guess it doesn't matter, either way! LOL!

It's humid year round. In the spring/summer it gets so humid that it rains every afternoon. It's in the FL panhandle - lots of tourists. I wanted to move there the last time we PCS'd, but we came to CO instead...

Visiting, this school is here. Is there anything exciting to do besides go to the beach? I'm not a huge fan of the beach lol.

Honestly, I'm not sure what there is to do besides the beach. Have you tried googling it? Is he going to Eglin? What's his job going to be?

Not sure what Eglin is and all I know is his job is Intel. But I'll check out the link, thanks!

Eglin AFB is the base there. So is Hurlburt Field. Which base is your husband going to?

Have you googled Pensacola? Also, on that link, toward the bottom is a button to be able to look up any military installation. So, once you know which base your husband is going to, you can look up the base and see what information it has about the base and the area.

I googled it but it didnt come up with much as far as what there is to do in that area. =\

Pensacola is kind of ...boring. Lol... It's old...there's some historic stuff there...lots of antique shops...lots of bars. :)

But...I'm from Tampa...so I think our bars and antique shops are WAY BETTER than in Pensacola, lol. We have an entire city dedicated to enjoying the nightlife. :)

I'm not really into night life either... and I cant swim so I dont spend much time at the beach haha.
