OMG his date got changed! Instead of coming home from Iraq in April they are sending him home sometime in January!!! 2 months to go!!!!!!!

I haven't been reading here for a while so sorry for the slow response to your plea. I am 5 months pregnant, too, and my hubby is in Afghanistan. This is our 4th deployment, and the second time I am pregnant and will deliver while he is gone. My advice> Throw yourself into baby preparations and dreaming up names, etc. Build a scrap book ahead of time if you are into that kind of thing (then add pics once baby arrives). If the labor and delivery without hubby is making you anxious (or even if it isn't) consider hiring a doula to be your support person throughout the process. They are FABULOUS -- loved having this person at my first son's birth, even though my sister was there to support me. If you can't afford, there is a program that will help you get services free. www.operationspecialdelivery.com

Oh, and your hubby will love seeing belly pics, so start taking them (same pose, same place) so he can see your baby grow grow grow!

Only 7 more days till I get hubs back... he is up north of me right now doing all the demob crap.... SANDI, it takes about a week give or take.

Hubs leaves out for training in Vegas 10 Jan. 2010. 7 days before our 9th anniversary. At least it's not our 10th! lol A month in Vegas then off to Iraq in early Feb. till....whenever (ya know how that goes, i stopped counting way back when)
its not the first deployment for us, and maybe not the hardest....it'd be damn hard to beat the deployment when i was pregnant w/3 other kids at home...((loads of run, ummmhumm))
BUT it still sucks. the never get fun...sigh...or too easy, but they sure do make you one helluva tough woman!
So...heres NOT looking forward to deployment number 7.

Got a date he comes home tomorrow!!! I am so excited. It has been a long year and it is finally almost over. I can not wait to have him in my arms again. The hardest part was when he came home for leave and we got married and then 16 days later he had to go back to Iraq. Which was really hard.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you know I have made it half way through this deployment. My Baby came home for R&R and left on Monday which has been really hard. I haven't heard from him since he left which makes me worried but we both figured that it would be a few days before he could contact me. He says that they are scheduled to be back in April if everything goes as planned. So we only have five months to go!!! We has an amazing time while he was here. I didn't know that he was coming in when he did. See he wasn't scheduled to leave for leave until Oct. 30 but his grandfather past away. But when I talked to him he told me they wouldn't let him come home. On Oct.24 his Mom asked me to ride the airport with her to pick up a family member that was coming home for her father's death. It was my Baby he wanted to suprise me. He always does things like that. He is a really amazing man!!! Well just wanted to let everyone know what was going on.

HEY GUYS DONT THINK I HAVENT WRITEN MUCH IN HERE AND I NEVER NEED TO UNTIL NOW MY HUBBY LEFT YESTERDAY FOR IRAQ AND I JUST DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO THINK AND PUT MORE STRESS ON TOP F IT I AM 5 MONTHS PREGNANT AND ALL OF THAT SO PLZ HELP GIVE ME ADVICE WRTE ME MESSAGE OR SOMETHING I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO THINK!

He got a date when he gets out of Iraq but he's not sure when he's gonna be home with me b/c they have to demob and we don't know how long that will be.
