some people ask me do i miss my hubby. sometimes i do and sometimes it seems i can't get thru the day cause i want him here. i don't want him there in iraq, but sometimes i don't have to deal with the normal day to day drama of being married and wanting space. i moved from a huge house to this townhouse like 45 minutes away. so space is of the utmost ahahahh but anyway i do miss him mostly cause we have not lived together since we have been married and courting. only for like 14 days at a time. ahahahah when he is home on r and r. he is still stationed in texas so when he comes home then he will be here for a month then back to texas and we wont see each other till we go back and gorth. i have a hectic time consuming jobby job. he is there and i and here in ohio. i am just ready to be hubby and wife, 95% ahahah just depends on what day u catch me on. maybe it is the day he pisses me off and i hang up on him while he is all the way in iraq. ahhahahaha sorry ladies. i am kind of fortunate enough in that area. that i can talk to him daily mostly via the internet or calls or computer or whatever. he is a awesome guy though. but he is fortunate very

Listen I need someone i can talk to, i am 18 and i am trying to get my license i have my learners permit that i got in va but they told me that i have to wait to be 19 to have a drivers license and i took a course and spent money for it and everything and now they are saying i have ti wit til i am 19 to get my license in va and i dont know what to do because i need to drive since my husband leaves and its hard for me to get around so i am in a tough situation right now.. so i need to figure something out and if i cant do anything here , maybe i should go back to pa and try to get something done there if they allow me , if not i am afraid i may have to drive on my certification i got from my class,I dont know what to do so if u have any idea of what i could do please tell me.!! i am just so frustrated and so stressed!!

miche im getting ready to take a nap before work, but lets see
basically i handle it one day at a time and have to remind my self that i actually love this man and this is what i made a choice to do ... but i think it would be a lot easier if mine wouldnt be a pee head some of the time.... oh and my hubs has duty tonight so i might be on after work

how do everyone deal with bein a military spouse? how do u feel? the reason I ask this is becuase some days I hate it n some days I love it :)

thanks amanda ... i wonder if they deal with just marriage counseling because i totally know that my hubs wouldnt go if he thought they were gonna try and tell him he has PTSD... i dont know if he has it or not but dang is he moody ;-) thanks

Hey Jazz, last year when my hubby went to someone for PTSD his therapist wanted to talk with me as well. Some days she would have us together in the session and some days she would have seperate appointments for us. We just went to mental health on base and they hooked us up lol

Q: hey ladies i have a question.. i was wondering im looking into getting some counseling for me and my hubs .. just to work out a few kinks and get on the same page... and i have seen alot of things on base for like group counseling and like couples retreats , but do they offer like one on one counseling on base or is that covered by tricare outside of the miltiary ????? or do you have to pay out of pocket for it ... i know that my hubs wont talk out our issue in a group setting and would just be content to keep things the way they are but for my sanity i think we should talk to some one lol...
anyone have one on on counseling ??? and where should i start looking at that if it is offered on base cause i have only been able to find group things

yup amanda depression is a big part of PTSD ....before i read up some on the matter i thought PTSD was only with guys that were freaking out and choking you in your sleep and stuff like that, but there are different levels of PTSD.... when my husband was talking to the Doc where he works just in small talk kinda convo.. my husband told the doctor how frustrated he will get with me and how sometimes he just lashes out and says mean things and if he has had a stressful day then he will just take it out on me and that he doesnt like questions and wants to control everything around him.. and the doctor was like .. you know that sounds like you may be dealing with PTSD and do you wanna offically talk about it .. or course my husband was like no and stormed out .. i really wish that he would go talk to someone because for him its something that will be in check for a few weeks and then he slips right back into it and starts treating everything like its a freaking mission in the military... and sleeping a whole bunch and being flat out mean sometimes
