So I finally arrived and 29 Palms...my residence for the next year to year and a half while my husband finishes his MOS school. Holy crapola is it different than anywhere I've ever been. So, Jon got accompanied orders to Twentynine Palms about two weeks ago. When he got there he had to wait to be put into a permanent platoon before he could fill out the paperwork for me to move. Earlier this week he got put into his platoon but still doesn't have a start date for his classes. As soon as he was placed into his platoon he put in the paperwork for me to move out there (get my name put on the orders, etc.) now he's just waiting for the "paperwork to come down" so I can move out ther… Continue

My (super awesome, wonderful, amazing) husband surprised me and bought me tickets to CA for his weekend of off base liberty from MCT on the 20th &21st. (In CA.) I was thinking of picking up some nice lingerie...but I don't want to spend a ton of money on it- anyone have any suggestions? I've lost 25lbs since February and none of my old stuff fits.

My husband left for MCT at Pendleton this morning at 5am. I've been an absolute mess since yesterday. I don't know why I'm having such a hard time with it. MCT is only 29 days. He brought his cell phone so he can call me when he can. And...it's only 29 days! I feel like I'm being ridiculous. I was so sad when he left for boot camp (for 3 months!) but I wasn't such a mess. I just found out that my husband got Company Honor Man and I'm sooooo proud of him! Yay! I was told when I get to mcrdsd I have to tell someone I'm there...but it was sort of unclear as the connection was bad... anyone know what I have to do?
