Chaos from the TSgt's house...

One of the silliest things I think I have had the pleasure of knowing while living this insane military life is that men are idiots. No seriously, they truly are idiots. Especially men of the military variety. Not to insult any of them naturally...but they certainly have their shinning moments.
I suppose that I should narrow this little group down to what I am familiar with as not to piss off any over protective military wifey into a fit of uncontrollable anger...thus giving her reason to vomit BS on my comments about this. god forbid we lose our cool once in a while right? but seriously I don’t mean "idiot" in a negative way.
I suppose the word I should use is "goofy, dorky, nutballs...etc." the group I focus this observation on? The Security Forces men of the United States Air Force.
oh yes, they are surely sexy in their BDU's (or should I call them ABU's or DCU's now..?) and blue berets. I’ve been around since the days where they had to wear dress blues on the gate shacks, now that uniform was snazzy! too bad the behavior wasn't as such. lol

you have to remember that these guys (though very dapper in their uniforms) are more than likely in their early twenties....and the NCO's well they are trapped in their early twenties. at least mentally.

I’ve seen some of the dumbest crap as the wife of an Air Force Security Forces member....and some of the FUNNIEST!

I remember the gag they pulled on one poor newbie one night ((base location undisclosed for obvious reasons)).... the poor kid had no idea what was in store for him.

He and his partner for the night were doing patrol when a call came in of a suspicious man nosing around the CATM range on the back side of the base. they proceeded out to the CATM range and sure enough they saw someone dressed in all black hustling back around the backside of the burm. so this guy driving, let’s call him SSgt. Sparta for fun; he got out of the patrol car, weapon drawn, and slinked around the side of the burm where the "man in black" was...and told the newbie (who was unarmed) to stay behind the car and keep his radio w/him. poor kid huddled behind the squad car like a little girl hiding from a wolf, and waited in dead silence.
All the sudden someone rushes out the front door of the CATM training room door gun blazing firing shots wildly...of course they were blanks, but they had tracers so it was lighting up the dark night. The newbie kid starts screaming into his radio for back up, and then who show's up? none other than SSgt. Sparta w/his 9mm in hand...he quickly fires off 4 shots at the man in black and he falls down on the asphalt. Newbie is in shock. he tried to collect himself, and as ppl show up it's very hard for him to conceal the fact that he has just pissed himself from fright.

Newbie was sitting on the curb next the CATM building when the man in black pops up out of a supposed death and w/out saying a word reaches in his pocket and pulls out a pack of cigs. Newbie is stuttering and sputtering and pointing...it's at this point that everyone starts laughing. the Newbie realizes at that moment that he's just been "hazed".
the last thing the Newbie heard that night from everyone around him was a resounding echo in his ear that declared- "Welcome to the SFS!"

*sigh* and I married one of these idiots. ~ At least he's cute.
