Wow, I think my husband is spying on me and snooping through my e-mail while he's deployed. I have nothing to hide but find it annoying that he's snooping. Today he questioned me about an e-mail I had in my inbox from an old friend (a guy who sent me a picture of himself because he's lost 100 pounds and wanted to show me) and tried to play off like I had accidentally forwarded it to him. WTF? So not only is he snooping he's trying to be sneaky. Why can't he just straight out ask me about it? grr… Continue

So I had been whining to my husband that it wasn't fair that I kept sending him pictures but he hasn't sent me any. So I told him that I was withholding pictures until I got at least a webcam picture. And he sent me the goofiest picture today! He said it was embarrassing for him to have his roommate take the picture but man, I'm pretty sure it made my entire month. I really just need to vent.. so here's my predicament. I have 2 sisters - an older and a younger sister. My mom has never really been the best mother and for the past 16 years or so she has been a drug addict. My older sister and I were lucky and my grandparents kept us with them for the most part... especially me because they adopted me from my parents. So this past week I have been up at a religious retreat. It's a family thing I go to every year. My great aunt is one of the founders of the camp and has been going for 63 years. I've been going for about... 23 years (I'm 26 now) So needless to say it's like a family reunion. You see people you've known all your life and it's just a great experience. Okay, so my Christopher deployed about a month ago and was transferred from Bravo to Delta company. So i don't have the FRG leaders info, I assume they don't have mine... that or they don't care. I don't know! But I have them on Facebook and I see all this stuff they have going on and I haven't been told about any of it! I don't know. I only know one other wife from his brigade and she tells me they e-mail her and keep her updated on what they have going on and what's going on with the soldiers.… Continue

So in an attempt to catch of glimpse of my Christopher over there in Iraq I've been scouring pictures of them getting on the planes, pictures of them at their FOB... so on. And today I found the Facebook page of the unit he's attached to and I got so excited! I saw him! Squeal! They had a picture of him when he was getting recognized for re-enlisting. So the hubby has been gone for about 2 and 1/2 weeks now... it's his first deployment and I'd like to think that I'm doing pretty well. But when I look at how little time it's been since he's been gone it's discouraging. I feel like it's been months without him and it's only been since the beginning of the month.
