Silent ranks we are
waiting for that call
waiting for that day
they say your solider is coming home

Listening to people cry
because they don't get to see
their boyfriend or their husband, when they are in the USA
All I got to say to them
is I will trade them any day!

You take the worry
you take the pain
of not knowing your husband or boyfriend is ok
because you haven't received a call today
because he can't get to a phone
or does not have a phone card that he can use
to call you

The silent ranks we are
together we have power
to silence those who do not understand
so next time someone complains about not seeing
their husband or boyfriend . . .
remind them you have not received a call from your in days
sometimes weeks or if at all. . .
remind them you have not seen yours in 6 months and that you have 8 more to go
and that's only if you are lucky. .
Remind them you will trade them any day
to have your solider home today.

That's so true. I'm so sick of my friend constantly complaining that she had to go home so she cant see her boyfriend til TOMORROW MORNING. Is that really something to complain about? Ugh.

That is so true. My boyfriend is in the navy and my parents dont understand what im going through having to wait for his letters.
