Camp Stanley is SO small so there's not a lot of wives here to cause drama. Thank goodness! I'm definitely not a drama girl. Do you go to the Pear Blossom Cottage at all? That is where I go on base here. And I stay home and watch a lot of movies! You're right... we are lucky they are here and not in Afghanistan. But this place... it's... I don't even know how to describe it! I am just here waiting to go home!!
Yeah... I am definitely more than ready to go home! And so is my husband! It's getting so cold out which makes me not want to do anything. Not that there is anything to do here anyway's.
One of the wives here has been trying for over a year and it was a slap in the face for her too with everyone else being prego... but she just found out she is two months along! It will happen for you!! =)
Do you guys have kids? It seems like everyone I met here (with the exception of two girls) are pregnant or have kids already. There's nothing wrong with it by any means, but I'm just out of the loop I guess!
It's definitely not what I was expecting it to be! I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Most of the wives I've met seem to really like it here for some reason... but definitely not me! I don't completely hate it, but I don't love it. I'm just here and that's it.
From the discussions that we've been responding to, it seems as though we have the same feelings about being in Korea. Not the glamorous adventure I thought it was going to be and we are counting the days til we go homeeeee!
I'm really sorry that this whole thing has been made in to this huge thing. I'm not sure what started it. I'm here if you ever need to chat. I know what its like being homesick and in a new country so don't feel alone and check out sites online also like Experience Project and stuff so you cna have more of an outlet. x x
No, reality is so much not like a show. The show just helps to give a view of how things can be. There are groups of women who get along the same as those, they are just very hard to find.
I know how you feel. I'm not in Korea, but I am in Hawaii and the job market is horrible here. Luckily, I am a full time student, so I don't have to worry about trying to sort through the jobs. I was working over the summer though, and I had to quit two jobs because people here have such poor work ethic! My last job was at a coffee shop and my manager seemed to have a problem with me being married, and felt the need to gossip behind my back. Lol, that's a whole other story though, but it was a job from hell!
hey hun, so im looking for things to do in seoul and i found Seoul Folk Flea Market...dunno if you heard of it or went there already but just wanted to let you know. :)
I think in some way you are taking the comment too seriously. Suck it up just means, pick yourself up and do what you gotta do. All of us have these days when we just want to stay in bed and never get out but we, as Army Wives, have to pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and do what we have to do to be good wives. Our husbands don't have anything if they don't have a good support system. If you don't watch Army Wives, you might want to try it. You will see what I mean. Just don't take Suck It Up to heart. It isn't meant to piss you off.
Camp Casey? That's cool! Josh says he likes Casey better than Humphreys lol Says there's alot more stuff there! Do you go to Japan? I heard its like a boat ride away
Ugh...I know how you feel. I would kill for one great friend and have someone here who felt the same way about me. I'm not in Korea like you (bless you i couldn't do it) but I am 1500 miles away from home. Everyone always says that we get nice stuff for free and blah blah. We PCS'd here January 20th or so. My husband left February 15 for a 5 month TDY..It was extremely horrible!! I do not really like blogging or posting on her because it seems some wives can be real bitches. I mean I have only been married a year and a half but my husband and I have been together for 6 or 7 years..dont remember shh don't tell him lol..He's been in for 3 yrs and we've been together through everything and it sucks! Sorry for being so flip floppy! But yeah women on here do not really respect that people have bad days every once in awhile..I posted a blog over a stray dog and how I lost respect for military families because I have 4 strays that all came from bases. And I got attacked like no other..that will probably be my last blog..lol
Not too far, well def let me know when y'all are up here again. We'll all go to dinner, and if it's a lil while after the babe's born maybe we can go out!

My family does tea parties...but wild ones. :)
Instead of doing the standard baby games...find a couple of kids board games and put them around the house in different places...have a "game war" or something goofy...Some quick ones, like the one whe…
