New here

I am just another Army wife, stuck here, while my husband is deployed again. It is really getting old. Maybe it is just me but it is not getting any easier. One would think that after so many deployments we would get used to...yeah right. The thought that I am not the only in this, makes it a lot easier sometimes. At least my kids and I are in a place we like, Colorado Springs (Ft. Carson).

thats great that you are starting your online program. How long will it take for you to get your license? I hope school will keep me busy, I am taking a regular class and an online class. Its true that no matter how busy you are your mind always wonders to your husband, I'm just glad that we are getting closer to the end lol. Well glad to hear you are doing good.

Thank you soo much for the advice. Yeh i know it is the worst. But our insurance isnt the best over here and there are limited specialist in the area that work with kids of that level. But i have tryin to look for ever and the only one is in about 2 hours away... but i remember it took me 8 months year just to find a specialist that took our insurance. I think for all these men and women do for our country u would think they would get a better medical plan for them and their famiy huh?
Well thanks yeh i will keep u posted !
Congrats on the license!! I am sure once u get to talk to him he will be just at excited to hear it as you were !!
Keeping busy is great , but it is when they get home that u dont want be you know... i dont even think i could get any time off when he gets here in Nov. i hope it is on a weekend !! LoL....

That is great that u work in special education! I can get some info. from u when i need it LoL...
Yeh he started out in early intervention at 3 years old. He is now 7 and i still dont have a diagnoises on it! It is sooooo frustrating to deal with they say it MIGHT be a very mild case of Autism. I did get a referral for a developmental specialist but it wont be til the begining of next year for the appt. CAN U BELIEVE THAT!! CRAP HUH?
Yeh i sometimes see work as a therpy u know i am away doing my own thing but yeh i know what u mean it sometimes just add to your stress . I work for a University here by the base. I am happy i am off of summer school last week was the last week so now i have 3 weeks before the fall semester starts again !! HAPPY!!!
That is great that u get to talk 2 times a week at least it is something . My husband call when he gets a chance. He can call everyday or call 1 a week or 1 every 2 weeks so it fluctuates every week.

He's been deployed since last September to Iraq. He's coming home in September or October this year I'm so excited I can hardly wait! =) We don't have any kids yet, but we have a boxer named Bentley who keeps me busy ;o) I'm still learning a lot about the Marines, my dad's retired AF and my brother is in the Army so this has been a learning experience for me!!!

buying a house is stressful but buying a house on a time schedule is even more stressful. I love the HGTV show too, I try getting some ideas for decorating my house. When my husband comes back we are going to fix up our backyard since we have no grass. we are trying to figure out if we want to put grass or turf. I used to scrapbook but I got really busy with school so I haven't touched my scrapbook stuff, I love going shopping, playing board games, hang out with my dogs. I subscribe to Dog Fancy magazine and they voted Colorado Springs the top dog friendly city across the U.S. That was pretty cool

Yeh i do the work thing , the school thing and now the family thing lol.. I bet it should be hard on the 14 year old. I guess that is the typical age that the kids REBEL againstt their parents lol.. but yeh i could see why u need your husband there. My husband has only spent 2 bday with my son and it SUCKSS!! He has got a speech disability so it getss really hard to get him to understand what is really happening i just tell him that " Daddy is wprking" And every time we got to commisary which is the other side of the base where my husband works he thinks we are goin to pick him up. I say no daddy will be home soon... This whole thing has suck BIG TIME soo far i just wish it goes by fast u know. Do you get to talk to him by phone or can he email you?
