Hi

I just joined this site. I dont know anybody in this city really, I would like to meet some people. I am currently searching for a job, but I would like to find something so I can be off nights and weekends with my husband. I am only 20 years old and I still have a year left in school the only work experience I have is being a server. Any suggestions?

My husband is in the Navy but works with all the marines. He's an RP which is basically the chaplins right hand man and body gaurd. I'm not going to school yet. I'm going to go down to the college office on base and talk to them about starting college and scholarships. My hubby is getting deployed in feb most likely so I'm not sure if I'm going to start classes here for jan or just wait untill june to start them when I go back home.

We've been here since May. My husband was at camp johnson for two months and now he's a camp lejeune. I'll work out for like 2-3 weeks like crazy then I lose my motivation and stop for 2-3 weeks. I'm not very good at running long distance either. I go so slow when I do. My huband can walk faster then I run! That's actually how we met. In high school we were both in ROTC and I couldn't past the mile and half run so I asked him to help me after school every day and then we started dating. Anyways, What does your hubby do in the marines? What are you going to school for?

Did you go to one of the gyms on base? My hubby wants to take me to this gym on base where they have rock climbing. We were going to go last weekend but we didn't have money for gas so were going to go this weekend. Well that's if I can get his lazy butt out of bed! Instead of going to the gym we went to topsail beach with his two friends and worked out like crazy. They had me running up the beach and stopping to do push ups, crunches, squats, duck walks, and then more running! While it was raining! I felt like a navy seal! lol Do you work out alot? I try to run a mile and a half everyday but sometimes I get lazy.

I haven't moved there yet we're still out at EGlin AFB in Florida but we should be there like three weeks from now. I am so ready to make some friends and hang out with some other wives. Everyone who comes through my house out here is a single marine lol.

Yeah there is like 6 gyms on base. My husband was pointing them all out to me yesterday. I use to go to the one on camp Johnson when my hubby was in training there. I haven't gone to any of the ones on camp lejeune though.

yeah I live only 5 mins from topsail. I love that beach. I'm from florida so I grew up on the beach. I haven't been to the one on base yet I heard it's always packed.

I've been here since may. I actually live in Sneads Ferry which is right next to the back gate of Camp Lejeune. Sneads Ferry has nothing in it really so we go to Jacksonville for everything. Were right next to the beach though so its nice.
